| I had to change doctors after getting a new job. A new neurologist refused to even give me a script for Fioricet so my new regular doctor in the plan did. Until now he says something about someone monitoring how much narcotics he is giving out so he stopped giving this to me. |
| Sometimes, I have HA several days in a row where I need to take Imitrex. I know youre not supposed to take daily. What is the frequency that is ok. I usually wait until Im desperate B4 I take it. Well, I find it works much better if I take it as soon as I feel a headache coming on. (And that the headache doesnt last as long.) So maybe if you take it immediately you won;t need to take it every day. I take it almost every day, and my doctor is fine with that. I do feel like youd do better off the fioricet entirely, but its probably going to be hard on you for a while. It was on me. |

I believe fiorcet has Tylenol and not aspirin in it. Tylenol doesnt work very well for her. Next week we go see a neurodoc for the first time. Our expectations are not very positive. Well, Ill keep my fingers crossed for you. My neuro is very well informed and helpful. I feel that taking fioricet or fiorinol every day probably leads to rebounds, it certainly did for me. When I got off it I did much better. |
| I thought Fioracet only contained butalbital. I didnt know that it also contains codeine. There are two formulations...one with Codeine (called Fioricet or Fiorinal #3 or w/Codeine) and then the other formulations of Fiorinal and Fioricet that do NOT have any Codeine in them. If your prescription bottle does not say "with codeine" or "#3," then you do not have the formulation that has codeine in it. Then of course, there are the differences in Fioricet and Fiorinal, with Fioricet having APAP, and Fiorinal having ASA (Aspirin). Other than that, they are the same, with each having Butalbital and Caffeine (caffeine helps the APAP and ASA work better). |
